Bioinicia is a global company, based in Valencia, spin-off of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). Bioinicia is a leading company in the development and manufacture of structured materials and nanofibers and nanoparticles at industrial scale, as well as the encapsulation of bioactives through the electrospinning and electrospraying technologies.
Bioinicia is the first industrial plant in the world for the manufacture of fibers and particles certified GMP and ISO 13485 for the manufacture of pharmaceutical products.
Currently, Bioinicia is developing nanofiber filter media branded as PROVEIL® for the manufacture of face masks with mechanical filtration without reliance on electrostatics. For that reason, filter performance is maintained over time or when exposed to humidity.
- Electrospinning and electrospraying equipment under the brand names Fluidnatek® and Spinbox Systems.
- Contract Development and Manufacturing of Development of biomedical devices and pharmaceutical products
- PROVEIL® nanofiber filter media for the manufacture of face masks.
Bioinicia participates in the development of products created via electrospinning and electrospraying technologies within the framework of several European projects. These projects aim at developing products that improve the quality of life through joint innovation by European partners.
In this sense, Bioinicia participates in the following European projects: CAPSULTEK, Y-PACK, USABLE PACKAGING, POLYBIOSKIN, FODIAC and RES-URBIS, among others.
Bioinicia is committed to knowledge transfer in innovative projects. Currently, Bioinicia collaborates with the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC) in many projects developing products.
Furthermore, Bioinicia is part of the Medicon Valley Alliance, the most competitive European cluster based in Scandinavia in the field of life sciences, which brings together members from universities, hospitals, biomedical companies, regional governments.
Bioinicia is open to future collaborations with consolidated companies in the areas of regenerative medicine, biomedical devices, pharmaceuticals, encapsulation of bioactives, functional food and the manufacture of PPE, among others.
